Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations

The Assistant AD for External Operations will be responsible for coordinating all external operations for the athletic department. 



The primary function of this position is to coordinate marketing, fundraising campaigns, special projects and community engagement with the Director of Athletics. The Assistant AD for External Operations will coordinate all facets of the Hillcat Athletic Fund including ticketing. They will also supervise, develop, and provide leadership in all areas of marketing, promotions and community engagement. He or she will be expected to attend University and community functions to help promote the institution.  The successful candidate must also be committed to conference and national rules compliance. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree with experience in marketing, athletic fundraising or athletic administration.



The ideal candidate will be flexible, enjoy working with a variety of sports and activities and will represent the University and the Athletic Department in a highly professional manner.



A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a collegiate athletic department. A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned. Knowledge of NCAA rules as they pertain to parents, boosters, and fans.


REPORTS TO:  Athletic Director


SUPERVISION GIVEN TO:  Interns, graduate student and student-workers.
