Federal Work Study (FWS) Student Worker

Oklahoma Military Academy Alumni Association

 

Position Summary:

The student worker will be responsible for providing support to the Executive Director and Administrative Assistant of the OMA Alumni Office.

 

Primary Duties:

Greet all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the OMA Alumni Office in a friendly and professional manner. Answer questions and direct to correct staff member or office on campus.  Answer the phone, take accurate messages, and keep workspaces organized. Coordinate with other student workers to perform office duties. Check with all members of the office regularly and provide assistance where needed. This may include making phone calls, mailing letters, filing, or working on projects in preparation for events, programs, etc. Maintain general filing system in an organized manner. 

 

Physical Demands:

Work is preformed in a variety of indoor settings and the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time is required. Ability to lift 35 pounds, bend, reach, speak, see and type is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Has experience working in a fast-paced office environment and is able to handle multiple projects. Must have excellent communication skills and be highly organized.

 

Reports to:

Executive Director of the OMA Alumni Association – Dr. Boyle and the Administrative Assistant - Bailey Thompson

Hours:

Anywhere between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
