Description

An introduction to the theory and application of geographic information systems. Topics include spatial data models, geodesy and map projections, global positioning systems, remote sensing, basic spatial analyses and cartographic modeling. Emphasis is placed on the application of GIS to problems of bio-logical conservation and natural resource management. Lab required. prerequisite: MATH 1513.
