Donors Provide Record Levels of Support Through Gifts to RSU Foundation

Donors provided a record amount of private support to Rogers State University during the 2026 fiscal year that ended June 30.

The Rogers State University Foundation received $6,529,217 in gifts and pledges during the 12-month period, the largest amount in the history of the organization. Combined with other income and earnings, total revenue for the Foundation totaled. $11,753,336.

Dawn Tatro to Lead Alumni Engagement Efforts at RSU

An alumna and long-time employee of Rogers State University will begin a new role connecting alumni with their alma mater.

Dawn Tatro, a 2014 graduate, has been named as Director of Alumni Engagement and will begin her new duties on Sept. 14.

“We are thrilled that Dawn will lead our efforts to engage and reconnect with alumni,” said Steve Valencia, Vice President for Development. “Dawn has been engaged with our Alumni Association Board of Directors for several years, so she knows first-hand how to build on our efforts to involve alumni in the life of the University.”

OMA Museum Participates in Museum City Back to School Blast Aug. 25

The Oklahoma Military Academy (OMA) Museum at RSU will be partnering with other Claremore museums next week in a community event to help Claremore students get ready for the new school year.

Slated for 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, Museum City Back to School Blast is an event at which local elementary, junior high, and high school students can visit all of Claremore’s museums to pick up school supplies.

Cherokee Nation, Rogers State University Launch College Credit Pathway for Film Students

Cherokee Nation is furthering its commitment to the growing film industry through a new partnership with Rogers State University, creating an academic pathway for students to earn college credit for courses completed at the tribe’s Cherokee Film Institute.

CFI is the only tribally operated education and workforce development center dedicated to preparing Native Americans for careers in the film and media industry. The hands-on, industry-standard courses equip students with the skills needed for entry-level roles, with a distinct focus on Native American representation and below-the-line production.
