Winter Break Campus Closure (Dec 24 - Jan 2nd)

Rogers State University will be closed for Winter Break from December 24 through January 2. Campus offices will reopen and regular operations will resume on Monday, January 5th. We wish everyone a joyful holiday season and a safe, restful break!

Please note that the entire RSU campus—including all offices, Mail Services, Printing Services, and Pershing Hall—will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays from Wednesday, December 24, through Friday, January 2.

Action Required: Please do not ship items to campus during this period (Dec. 24–Jan. 2). While Mail Services will place holds with major carriers, delivery cannot be guaranteed, and there is no secure location for packages while Pershing Hall is closed.

Mail Services will resume sorting and delivery when campus reopens on Monday, January 5.

National Gypsum Makes Donation to STEM@RSU Campaign

National Gypsum, through its Gold Bond facility in Pryor, has provided a $20,000 gift to the Rogers State University Foundation in support of its STEM@RSU Campaign.

The campaign is securing private funding for RSU’s Center for Science and Technology (CST). The CST is a 44,000 square foot, $35 million facility that will become the home for RSU’s programs in STEM-related disciplines, such as chemical engineering, biological sciences, robotics and cybersecurity. Construction is set to begin in March.

RSU Honors More than 40 Nursing Graduates at Pinning Ceremony Dec. 13

Rogers State University honored its 44th graduating class of nurses – the university’s second fall cohort – at the Nursing Pinning Ceremony held Friday, Dec. 12, at First Baptist Church in Claremore.

Dr. Carla Lynch, associate dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions, began the ceremony with the welcoming of students, guests and audience members, after which, RSU President Dr. Don Raleigh congratulated the new nurses during his opening remarks.

RSU Hosts Hooding Ceremony to Honor Master’s Degree Graduates Dec. 11

Nearly 30 RSU students were hooded during the university’s master’s degree hooding ceremony, held Thursday, Dec. 11 in Herrington Hall on RSU’s Claremore campus.

A hooding ceremony is a special academic tradition, usually for master’s and doctoral graduates, where a faculty member places the academic hood over the student’s head, symbolizing the completion of their advanced degree, transition to a scholar, and recognition of their scholarly achievement and mentorship.
