Academic Computing Services (ACS) offers a broad range of services designed to meet the information technology needs of the Rogers State University faculty, staff and students. The ACS department serves all three RSU campuses in Claremore, Bartlesville, and Pryor.

ACS can assist you with:

  • Logging into Microsoft for students for initial setup
  • Logging into Gmail accounts for students
  • Logging into MyRSU
  • Blackboard Issues (does not include text book sites)
  • How to clear your browser history for Blackboard
  • Uniflow Printing System Setup/Registration
  • General Technology questions (access to Blackboard, page wont load/error)
  • Password Resets
  • Internet Issues on Campus (Dorm Appointments go through Residential Life RA)

How to Print

All students, faculty and staff can print to a campus printer on or off campus when using personal laptops or RSU computers.

Send a FAX

From Outlook:

  1. Enter the fax phone number followed by @xfax.rsu.edu in the “To” field. (When sending faxes within RSU you only need the 4 digit fax extension followed by @xfax.rsu.edu)
  2. Enter the fax subject in the “Subject” field.
  3. Enter a message in the main window.
  4. Attach files that need to be faxed. They can be PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Power Point documents.
  5. Click “Send”.

From a Canon Copier:

  1. Swipe your RSU ID card to log onto the Canon copier.
  2. Place your documents to fax face up in the feeder tray or face down on the glass if you are manually scanning the documents. 
  3. Select Send.
  4. Select Email. (Do not select the “FAX” options on the Canon copiers)
  5. In the email address field enter the fax phone number followed by @xfax.rsu.edu. (When sending faxes within RSU you only need the 4 digit fax extension followed by @xfax.rsu.edu)
  6. Press “OK”.
  7. Press “Start” to send the fax.

How to Set Up Mobile Email for Faculty & Staff

iPhone

  • Existing Email Change:
    • Settings
    • Accounts & Passwords
    • Select your current RSU email account
    • Select your account
    • Change the Server from mail.rsu.edu to outlook.office365.com   (You may need to press Advanced Settings to see this)
    • Press Save
  • New Email Setup:
    • Settings
    • Accounts & Passwords
    • Add Account
    • Select Exchange
    • Enter your RSU email address
    • Enter a Description
    • Press Next
    • Press Sign In on the popup window
    • Enter your RSU Faculty/Staff password (This is the same password used to log onto an RSU faculty/staff computer.)
    • Press Accept on the popup window
    • Select which items to synch
    • Press Save

Android

  • Existing Email Change:
    • Open your email client
    • Open your email client settings
    • Select your current RSU email account
    • Select Exchange Server Settings
    • Change the Domain\username field to \ followed by your RSU email address (Example:  \sampleemail@rsu.edu)
    • Change the Server from mail.rsu.edu to outlook.office365.com   (You may need to press Advanced Settings to see this)
    • Press Done
  • New Email Setup:
    • Using Microsoft Outlook Android Application by Microsoft
    • Download Microsoft Outlook from the Play Store (free application)
    • Start the Microsoft Outlook app
    • Enter your RSU email address
    • Press Continue
    • Enter your current RSU email password  (This is the same password used to log onto an RSU faculty/staff computer.)
    • Press Sign In

  • Enter your RSU email address

  • Press Apply for the Remote Security Administration
  • Select your preferences followed by Next
  • Select Activate
  • Name the account (optional)
  • Press Done

To Forward All Calls

  1. Press the “Forward All” softkey.
  2. Then enter the call forward target phone number exactly as you would dial it from your phone.
  3. To verify that your calls are forwarded, look for the “Forward All” icon in the line label, and the forwarding information in the header.

Phone Installation or Relocation

To request a phone installation or relocation, email the Help Desk. Requesting a phone installation or move is to be generated by the area supervisor. After the email is received the appropriate steps will be taken.

RSU offers Microsoft Office 365 to students for free:

Office 365 Education for Students is an Office 365 plan available for free to students who attend certain academic institutions.

Faculty/Staff

To request a faculty/staff computer account, you must complete the Computer Account Request (docx) and send it to Academic Computing Services. Academic Computing Services must receive confirmation of employment from Human Resources before the account can be activated. Prior to employee start date, a supervisor is required to make arrangements with Academic Computing Services for delivery of computing equipment. Please note that the information provided on this form is what your account will be based upon.

Student Workers

Student worker’s faculty/staff type accounts are enabled for one semester at a time. Supervisors should start the process to renew student worker accounts at least 2 weeks before the end of the semester.

Expired Accounts

Temporary/Contractual employee accounts will expire at the end of their terms/contract. If the contract is renewed or the temporary terms extended, the supervisor must notify Academic Computing Services. Academic Computing Services must also receive confirmation of the contract dates from HR/Business Office before the account can be renewed.
